Juba, 5 February 2025 (MFA&IC) – The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Amb. Monday Semaya K. Kumba, met with H.E. Amb. Kossam Mupezeni, the Head of Mission of the Republic of Zimbabwe to South Sudan, to advance the shared interests of both nations.
The dialogue encompassed a range of collaborative areas, including high-level exchange visits, economic partnership initiatives, political engagement, investment opportunities, and trade relations.
Hon. Amb. Semaya expressed his sincere appreciation for the dedicated efforts of Ambassador Mupezeni and underscored the South Sudanese government’s steadfast commitment to enhancing ties with Harare. He highlighted the critical importance of fostering investment, facilitating trade coordination, and promoting research exchange programs between the two countries.
In response, H.E. Amb. Mupezeni conveyed his heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support extended by the Ministry to the Zimbabwean embassy. He emphasized that the relationship between South Sudan and Zimbabwe is rooted in both history and brotherhood, reaffirming Harare’s readiness to continue supporting and enriching its partnership with South Sudan.
