04 Sept 2023, Juba, SOUTH SUDAN – The newly-appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ambassador James Morgan on Monday took the oath of office before President Salva Kiir.
President Kiir appointed Ambassador Morgan on 31 August.
Hon. Morgan takes over from Hon. Deng Dau Deng, who was the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The new Minister previously served as South Sudan’s Head of Mission in Ethiopia, Permanent Representative to the African Union (AU) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) in Addis Ababa.
