Cairo, Egypt, 20th February 2024-(MFA&IC) Hon. Ramadan Mohammed Abdallah Goc, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, participated in the Third World Forum for the Culture of Just Peace held in Cairo from February 20th to 22nd, 2024. Accompanied by Amb. Philip Jada and Amb. Joseph Moum Majak, the forum organized by the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation focused on peace, political development, and the development of AI technologies.
During the panel discussion, Hon. Deputy Minister Goc highlighted the importance of finding alternative approaches for less developed countries to bridge the technology gap, particularly in the field of AI. He emphasized the need to put peace into practice as a fundamental step towards fostering development in all countries.
The forum aimed to address various aspects of peace and development, including government management efficiency, popular participation, institutional development, and the utilization of AI technologies. With representatives from around the world, the event provided a platform for discussions and strategies to promote peace and advance global development.
Hon. Deputy Minister Goc’s presence at the forum demonstrated the commitment of the Government of the Republic of South Sudan to actively engage in international initiatives aimed at fostering just peace and leveraging technology for sustainable development.
