Juba, 3 February 2025 (MFA&IC) – The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Amb. Monday Semaya K. Kumba, had a cordial meeting with H.E Amb. Kangudia Nkutulia, Head of Mission of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to South Sudan, to discuss bilateral cooperation and the ongoing situation in the DRC.
Hon. Amb. Semaya conveyed the greetings of the Honorable Minister, and reiterated that the Democratic Republic of Congo is a very important and strategic partner to South Sudan. He highlighted that South Sudan is concerned with the situation and challenges of the DRC and wishes sustainable peace and prosperity to the Congolese people.
Hon. Semaya further stressed the importance of advancing bilateral engagement, boosting of trade and investment, and strengthening existing cooperation.
H.E. Amb. Nkutulia expressed his gratitude and briefed the Deputy Minister on the situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He stated that Congo has a good relationship with South Sudan and is looking forward to deepening the cooperation.
